Project Director, Lake Effect Leaders AmeriCorps VISTA

Eva is the Project Director for the local AmeriCorps VISTA project, Lake Effect Leaders. AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) was created as a domestic counterpart to the Peace Corps. It is a national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. Lake Effect Leaders aims to build the capacity of nonprofit organizations in Erie and Crawford County through projects related to areas of education, health, the opioid crisis, neighborhood revitalization, homelessness, refugees/New Americans, and more.

Eva served as an LEL VISTA herself for two years in 2016-2018 at Community Shelter Services in Erie. She has a Master's degree in Social Work with a concentration in community practice.
