Jake Marsh
/Industry Relations Coordinator, Penn State University
I work to get University students engaged with industry and their community in ways that help them to gain genuine career experience while aiding the regional economy. An entrepreneurial mindset is becoming more vital for workers in most fields. Broad interdisciplinary experience (often including experience that seems irrelevant) adds to the effectiveness of that mindset by allowing a person to approach a problem from unique perspectives. We work to build these characteristics in our students and put those skills to use for the region.
Please consider me as an in-person connection to Behrend and to the Innovation Beehive Network, a collaboration of four universities and the Erie County Library System. We serve entrepreneurs and established businesses with new product design, engineering consultation and low-risk experimentation, business planning, market intelligence, and branding and marketing.
